Aiden's first Alligator Pear

The avocado. It is the perfect food in so many ways. Easily digestible, a great source of fruit oil and digestible fats, 14 minerals to stimulate growth, including iron and copper for your blood.
The sodium and potassium in avocados keep your body chemically balanced and their low sugar content and absence of starch make them an ideal food for diabetics or hypoglycemics. Vitamins in Avocado include A, several B-complex, C and E, as well as phosphorus and magnesium. They are also a great source of antioxidants like Vitamin E and C.
Avocados are also called Alligator Pears because of their shape and the color of their skin. When blended with fruit, they make particularly nutritous baby food.
I'm so glad Aiden likes this fantastic food. Why you ask? So we can share of course!

(Haas) Avacadoes are my stranded on a deserted island food choice! This is a very good sign! I hope they don't cost too much in nashville like they do here in vancouver!

I can get 4 alligator pears for about $3.50 at Trader Joe's. I make the most of them for sure;)
